Decision to Go

Hey y'all,

Welcome to my blog page! I've never done this before, but I thought what better of a way to document my trip to Italy and Greece than to write about it. I started off this adventure not knowing anyone and going into it with the mindset of a wonderful opportunity that I should take advantage of. I love traveling and as an upcoming Junior, with my time in college quickly passing by, I decided to look into doing some type of study abroad. With the encouragement of my family and friends, I did some research on what programs would best fit my major etc.. It was around the time of midterms that the decision to sign up was made and from there everything else quickly fell into place. Once I was accepted and my qualifications were approved, my wild journey would begin.

Reasons for Writing

Now being back in the States, I am taking the time to write about all the exotic food I tasted overseas. I brought a journal over with me and wrote in it each day, some of the activities that we did along with the most impressive meals prepared for us. Granted, this was part of the curriculum that was required of each participant on the trip, but I would've wanted to keep track of the sights seen and spectacular food tasted on this month of a whirlwind regardless.

I really hope you enjoy the stories, pictures, and recipes that I learned while abroad. Additionally, as a part of the class I took, I was assigned a research project where we were given the opportunity to choose any native food/drink in the two cities to explore. My topic choice was coffee. If you are interested in learning more about coffee and how its use varies around the world, submit your email address into the mailing list and I'll be happy to share!
